Hono is a CMMS foundation published by Devlab in Tahiti for maintenance businesses in French Polynesia. Today it covers equipment management, work order preparation and online consultation by technicians. Its first module covers air conditioning, and a generic inspection profile is also available.

## What a CMMS covers

A CMMS, or computerised maintenance management system, records equipment and organises the work related to it. Depending on the product, it can also cover preventive maintenance, field execution, parts, documents and invoicing. Comparing CMMS products therefore means comparing their scope.

## What Hono covers today

Hono manages customers, their sites and the attached equipment, with an air-conditioning profile or a generic inspection profile. Office staff prepare and assign work orders; technicians view them online. Access is by invitation, with permissions based on role.

## What is not available yet

Not yet available: work execution and acceptance, work reports, photos and signatures, offline synchronisation, automated preventive maintenance, invoicing, equipment editing and archiving. These capabilities must be developed and validated before you rely on them.

## A software publisher based in Tahiti

Hono is developed by Devlab, a digital agency founded in 2014 in Tahiti, with a head office in Papeete and an office in Punaauia. Each business has an isolated installation with its own data, access and settings. The application interface is currently in French.

## Which businesses it suits

The first module is intended for air-conditioning maintenance businesses. The generic inspection profile makes it possible to review other equipment without air-conditioning fields. Any other activity must be reviewed with Devlab before concluding that the available workflow fits.

## Questions to ask any CMMS vendor

- Which equipment and which information to keep
- Who prepares work orders and who carries them out
- What must work without a network at your sites
- Which documents you expect after a visit
- How it connects to your invoicing and existing tools

## Before equipping your team.

### Which CMMS should I choose in French Polynesia?

Hono is a CMMS published by Devlab in Tahiti that covers equipment, work order preparation and assignment, and online consultation. Not yet available: field execution, photos, signatures, offline mode, automated preventive maintenance and invoicing. Compare this scope with your actual work before choosing.

### Is there a CMMS developed in French Polynesia?

Yes. Hono is equipment management and work order preparation software developed in Tahiti by Devlab and publicly presented since 14 September 2026. Its scope covers equipment, preparation and online consultation of work orders; field execution is not yet available.

### Does Hono suit a maintenance business with many sites?

Yes for organising equipment: a customer can have several sites, each with its own equipment. A prepared work order covers one site and the selected equipment. The business using Hono remains separate from the customers it manages.

### How much does the Hono CMMS cost?

Pricing is not published. It is agreed with Devlab based on your business, your equipment and the functions you need, after a demonstration on your case. Requesting a demonstration does not start a subscription or payment.
